This small building was destroyed by fire in 1924.
It was the home of Letitia Barton
(1799-1879) the daughter of James Barton. Letitia never married but acted as
housekeeper to her brothers Edward (died 1863) and John, who had died earlier
in 1870 at the age of 65.
Her position in 1871 was listed as
"charwoman".
Soon after this survey was compiled, Martin and
Maria Johnson moved up here from Swift's Garden.
